Middlestead House is a new 18-bed independent Hospital/Step-Down Unit for adults with learning disabilities and/or significant impairment of social/cognitive functioning.
Situated in the village of Breaston, between Derby and Nottingham, the unit accepts both informal patients and those detained under the Mental Health Act. Accommodation is provided in a large house with individual en-suite bedrooms and spacious communal areas. The large garden includes a five-a-side football pitch and a small horticultural area.
Middlestead House is registered with the Healthcare Commission and accepts both male and female patients aged between 18 and 65 on admission.
