Learning Disabilities Service

Care Principles is the UK’s leading independent provider of specialist learning disability services.  We provide comprehensive assessment, treatment, therapeutic and rehabilitation services for adults with learning disabilities and associated disorders, including those with severely challenging behaviour and forensic backgrounds.

Our Learning Disabilities Service is led by a team of internationally recognised expert psychiatrists who deliver high quality care through true multi-disciplinary team working with specialists in psychology, education, social work and nursing. Our services are based on an enhanced therapeutic framework, supported by individual treatment programmes underpinned by our reward-based Cognitive Behavioural Support Programme.

We aim to place service users within the least restrictive environment possible and we offer a range of facilities, from medium secure hospitals through to community-based specialist care homes and supported living, to meet individuals’ needs.  All of our sites accept people with learning disabilities.
