Hungate Lodge, Emneth, Cambridgeshire

Hungate Lodge is a 17-bed independent Open Hospital for adult males with learning disabilities and mental health or other complex needs, including behavioural disorders, and is able to take both informal patients and those detained under the Mental Health Act.  It is situated just outside the small village of Emneth, near to the busy market town of Wisbech.

All bedrooms are en-suite and there are spacious communal areas including a lounge, dining room and conservatory as well as a large enclosed garden containing an orchard, vegetable plot and greenhouse. 

Educational and leisure facilities are offered on site, including an IT suite and classroom, with an activity suite that features a practice kitchen and utility area to develop domestic skills.  Educational skills are also developed through established links with local colleges who run training courses specific to the hospitals client group.  Regular outings are made to external leisure and shopping facilities.

The Hospital is registered with the Healthcare Commission and accepts patients aged 18 and over.
