Psychiatry
Why work in psychiatry for Care Principles?
Our psychiatrists play a leadership role within the multi-disciplinary team. We employ consultants who are on the specialist register in learning disability, forensic psychiatry or general adult psychiatry. Our pathway of care allows consultants to work in secure, open and community settings.
We also employ non-consultant grade doctors to support the team.
Care Principles prides itself on a motivated, skilled medical workforce and, to support this, we ensure our doctors receive appropriate packages and training.
What to expect
As a clinical psychiatrist with Care Principles, you will be working as part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team delivering innovative and practical solutions to the complex needs of our patients and residents. You will be responsible for assessing and treating these service users, and working with our extended clinical team to develop individual treatment programmes. You will also be leading or assisting with individual or group therapy sessions, and helping to shape our clinical programme.
Care Principles fosters links with external bodies, and we are happy to support any member of our team who wishes to carry out research that builds upon our clinicians’ existing expertise.
