Linden House

A calm atmosphere, exceptional levels of care adn a wide range of specialist treatments: Linden House is an ideal environment for men with a learning or developmental disorder or challenging behaviour. The hospital also provides secure services for women in a gender-specific environment. Our team of ehalthcare professionals take a very positive, future-focused approach to all patients, with many going on to use the step-down service available at nearby Ermine Lodge in Gainsborough.

Treatments and services include:

  • A free-of-charge, clinical pre-admission assessment
  • Tailored care and treatment programmes, including individual and group therapies, delivered within a well-established, evidence-based psychological model of care
  • A range of individually structured physical, therapeutic and learning activities
  • Regular risk assessment and relapse prevention work
  • On-site advocacy services
  • Structured care pathways with the aim of leading to step-down and community integration (where appropriate)

Service users

Men and women aged 18 and upwards who require accomodation in a medium or low secure environment who:

  • Have a personality disorder, learning disability, developmental disorder or autistic spectrum disorders
  • Display challenging and/or offending behaviour
  • Have behavioural difficulties
  • Have a forensic history
  • Are detained under the Mental Health Act

Facilities include:

  • Individual bedrooms split between bungalows and houses
  • Spacious communal, leisure and recreational areas
  • An extensive learning centre with 20 activity rooms and two large gymnasiums
  • A large, attractive garden with horticultural areas
  • A hard-surface, all-weather outdoor play area
