James House
James House is a caring, community-based step-down service for men with mental disorders, cognitive or social functioning problems or challenging behaviour. In this safe, supportive environment, our service users can enjoy a uniquely-tailored range of activities, building their confidence, their sense of self-worth and their ability to cope and relate to others.
Treatments and services include:

- Tailored care & treatment programmes, delivered within a well-established, evidence-based psychological model
- Individual and group treatments
- A range of learning and leisure activities

Service users
Men aged 18 – 65 who:
- Have a learning disability and/or other mental disorder with impaired cognitive/social functioning plus challenging behaviour
- Have a forensic history
- Display complex needs that are not being met in their current placement, for example lower-security units or community-based placements
