Ashley House, Market Drayton, Staffordshire
Ashley House is a modern, purpose-built 43-bed independent Secure Hospital for adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour who are detained under the Mental Health Act.
The Hospital, which opened in 1999, provides Therapeutically Enhanced Secure Services in a low-secure environment for both men and women. It is situated on a seven-acre campus near Stoke-on-Trent.
Patient accommodation is provided in two 8-bed bungalows and three houses. Facilities on site include an extensive purpose-built Supported Learning Centre with activity rooms and a large gymnasium. There is also a hard surface all-weather play area and a range of horticultural and recreational amenities within the attractively landscaped grounds.
The Hospital is registered with the Healthcare Commission and accepts patients aged between 18 and 65.
